e-Attendance Monitoring System

         e-Attendance Monitoring System is state of the art attendance monitoring system using biometric technologies. This system has several features including enrollment of employees, capturing attendance, update leave and update holidays at the client system. This system can generate various reports like daily attendance and monthly attendance reports. Also this system transfers data automatically to web server, Various reports like Daily Attendance, Monthly Attendance, Data Transfer Status, Staff related statistical reports can be viewed on the web office-wise

National Informatics Centre (NIC)

            Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India, is a premier organization in the field of Information Technology and provides state-of-the-art solutions to the information management, dissemination, e-Governance and decision support requirements of the Government. NICNET, with its Nationwide specialists, is well rooted and functioning at all Districts, State/Union Territory Capitals and Central Delhi. Micro earth station node have been established in all the state Capitals, District Head Quarters and selective other centres.

NIC-KARNATAKA

           National Informatics Centre (NIC), started its State Unit (NIC-KSU) at Bangalore in 1987. It has entered into an MOU with Government of Karnataka and is actively involved in the computerisation activities of State/Central Government Departments, Public Sector Enterprises and other Autonomous organisations. The broad range of service include system study, design, coding, testing, training, implementation, software maintenance and handholding support.

By establishing NICNET covering majority of the Departments in Government of Karnataka at Bangalore and the 30 districts, it has enabled 'district- state data flow' and thus compiled database on most of the socio-economic sectors of development, delivering critical information at each of the 30 districts and the state as a whole. It has provided state-of-the-art solutions to the information management and decision support requirements of the State and Central Government departments.

NIC-KSU is equipped with the most recent technological equipment like SAN (Storage Area Network) having one terra byte of disk space with nine servers of heterogeneous operating systems and RDBMS. In addition, it is also equipped with SUN SPARC and Ultra servers, P-IV Systems, Multimedia Systems, Routers, Bridges/Hubs, VSATs in Ku-band, RF network in Bangalore city, IP Advantage network, ISDN nodes, Desktop and studio based multisite video conference systems, connecting all metros and major cities in the country, form the communication infrastructure.

VSAT technology for WAN and RF Link for MAN have been in use to interconnect District NIC centres, Vidhana Soudha , Secretariat and many other Government Departments like Education, High Court of Karnataka, Agriculture, Industry and so on.
